Products Inc. (CPP), a subsidiary of Carpenter Technology Corporation
(NYSE:CRS), said today that it will increase transactional prices on
its tool and high speed steels by 6 - 8 percent for orders booked as
of June 1, 2004. Raw material surcharges will remain in effect.
The planned price increase reflects continued increases in raw
material, energy and other consumable costs.
