Brian J. Malloy

Chief Commercial Officer

Brian J. Malloy was named Vice President and Chief Commerical officer of Carpenter Technology Corporation in March 2016. Brian is responsible for overseeing all of the company’s commericial operations which account for $2.2 billion in total annual net sales. This includes marketing, sales and customer service for both the Specialty Alloys Operations (SAO) and Peformance Engineered Products (PEP) business segments. Brian joined Carpenter in August 2015 as Vice President, Sales & Customer Service for the SAO segment, which accounts for neary 80 percent of Carpenter’s total annual net sales.

Prior to joining Carpenter, Brian worked for Global Precision Tubes where he was the Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, he was responsible for business development, strategy and the commercial organizations. His previous experience includes key roles at Alcoa, Inc., where his last position was Vice President, Commercial for Industrial Gas Turbines in the Power and Propulsion business unit. Brian also held key business strategy and product management positions within Alcoa’s forging, structural castings and extrusions operations in aerospace, defense, energy, and ground transportation markets.

As the director for Commercial Vehicles, he was a founding member of Market Sector Teams tasked with driving growth in core markets across business segments, and was subsequently charged with advancing commercial competencies across Alcoa, establishing regional homerooms to lead dozens of initiatives that identified over $8 billion of growth opportunity, including the launch of two new businesses.

Brian is a co-inventor of five patents, has an MBA from William & Mary, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech.
